New College Durham is working in partnership with a number of organisations to deliver a Youth Employment Initiative (YEI).
The college successfully won funding from the European Social Fund which enables it to offer a wide range of support to people aged 15 to 29 who are classed as NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
As part of the support package, advisors at New College Durham are offering Aptem, formerly known as MyWorkSearch, to participants. Aptem has a full set of quality jobseeker resources, making self-service realistic for many of the young people on the scheme.
Aptem is particularly helpful on this programme because people who fail to secure work often either do not job search actively or they do it in a disorganised way. Aptem helps them get organised and job search effectively, provides them with award winning eLearning on all aspects of job search, gives them with a wide range of relevant local job opportunities and monitors their activity levels. Following this path, Aptem users get jobs.
MWS Technology is proud to be supporting New College Durham with their Youth Employment Initiative. Best of luck to all those being helped by the scheme.
